A Natural Wonderland from Rainforest to Reef

Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands offer visitors a multitude of natural gifts - from the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef with its tropical islands and golden beaches, to national parks with their ancient forests and rugged, steep cliffs.  The area is rich in wildlife and offers opportunities to see dolphins, turtles, hump back whales and an incredible range of birds and tropical fish.

Airlie Cove is especially fortunate to be bordered by the Conway National Park and truly is a tropical haven for anyone who enjoys nature and a bit of solitude.  Kangaroos and wallabies come to graze in the early mornings and evenings and goanna roam through the grounds. Native possums greet our visitors each night - often carrying their babies on their backs - and are happy to be hand fed at any opportunity! Even the cheeky scrub turkey chooses to build its large nest mound in our gardens and colourful parrots and exotic birds are always on hand for their daily feeding.
